TRICOT ATTACK! | January 17th 2005

Sou thought out loud in Blog, Friends, Fun, Personal, Crazy, Shopping

I went out with Sylvia and Heidi two days ago. Saif joined us later on (see, I mentioned you! lol) Anyhoos…As we were walking out of a store in Fanar, this woman’s bag snagged my purple tricot jacket!! So there I was, in the middle of Fanar, my jacket attached to this hysterical woman’s handbag!! Yes, HYSTERICAL! The woman was like “Ishloon, ya3ni shinoo hatha?!!tigdareen itsheleenah?!!” and laughing like a loon in between every word! (to all of you non-Arabic speakers out there—what she said was in Kuwaiti dialect for: “How? What’s this?–can you get it off?!!”) Can I get it off?!! HER bag brutally attacked my jacket!! I mean, who on Earth swings their bag like there’s no tomorrow?!!! So there I was trying to free my tricot jacket from this woman’s Fendi bag!!! And she was yanking her bag, yes, you heard me–YANKING!! Now let’s see:

Step One: Snag TRICOT Jacket
Step Two: Hysterically Yank Bag
Step Three: Ruin TRICOT Jacket
Step Four: Walk away laughing to yourself like nothing happened

Est Voila! The Four steps that woman took to make my life a living hell!! Only, I exaggerated on ‘Step Two’. She didn’t really ruined it, but let’s say there’s nothing my grandmother can’t fix when it comes to Tricot!! So that was that…I bought my mother her birthday gift!!! YEY!!! It’s on the 27th January!!! I can’t wait!!

We’re getting a holiday from Wed-Mon! YES MONDAY!!! *evil laugh* I love the place I work at, they’re giving us an extra day off!! I dunno bout other countries that celebrate Eid Al-Adha, but I know that Kuwait starts work on Monday! I’ll be starting on Tuesday! Ahh..life, is grand!!

I just have to mention this!! I landed across, what i think, is one of the best sites ever! Kuwait Blogs. I think it’s got nearly every Blog by a Kuwaiti or from Kuwait under the sun!!! And i LOVE IT!!! I never knew SOOO many people in Kuwait or Kuwaitis abroad blogged!! Amazing to see what there is out there!! Well, like i normally say “i learn a new thing everday” I actually found out about the site from Uzf’s Blog. So thanx Uzf!! :)
Well, my break’s nearly over!! Time to sign off, ta ta for now :*

There are a lot of beee-atches out there. One time (not at band camp) I was in old Souq Salmiya, looking at stuff in a little shop that also sold abayas. This BIG woman waddled over with her husband behind her and gave me a dirty look. She got up REALLY close to me (most likely trying to steal my style) and started trying on abayas. When she took the first one off, she swiped me across the face with the arm and looked at me with that BigFatFace of hers. I’m thinkin, ‘Okay, she probably just did it by accident.’ Then, she tried on the next one and did the same thing. I looked at her and shouted, “Yalaaaaah wakhereeeeee!” and she turned to her husband (who looked totally amused) and said, “Weeeeh! (did you hear what she said to me - in Arabic)” and her husband started openly laughing at her. Bigfatcow! You can’t do a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

Hey There :P It’s my first time well actually I visited once a long while back hehehe dunno how long.. but first time I read something and yea I really do hate it when this thing happens.. I mean going shopping in Kuwait requires alot of strength because not only are you dealing with teenage hormones and older women who are trying to pass off as young girls.. it’s basically painful out there.. but it’s a good thing that I didn’t go through what you went through because I usually distance myself from other people.. :/ Oh well Great Blog :D and Nice to see me on your blog roll :P

Everyone’s on holiday but me! I think my school refuses to recognize MLK Day, or they’re just stupid.
