Sou thought out loud in Friends, Fun, Personal, Creative

I’ve never shared this with anyone except now. I love reading my high school art teacher’s blog from time to time. Just reading his thoughts and adventues in his youth make me feel like visiting him in highschool or even giving him a call. But tell me this, why is it that i never get around to picking up the phone and ringing him up; or even sending him something as simple as a ‘hello, how are you?’ email?! *sigh* I’m a terrible, person :(

Goodness, all the memories in art class, all the times he’d want to throw something at me because I wasn’t working to my full potential. I wonder if he knew how much I really admired him as an artist and how highly I thought of him - and still do. He introduced me to the work of, what I personally think, one of the best painters ever, because of C I love Jack Vettriano. Thank you!

C: You drew this? *picks up art work*
Me: Yes sir.
C: Good job, kid.

Thanks for believing in me C. You’re the only person who ever listened to me while I was over there. You made that year worth while!

Not the art work he picked up and praised, but one of many that remind me of the great times I had in art class!

I love your post sou, it reminded me of my English teacher miss Billie, and the first time she made me listen to Don McLean’s Vincent, its strange how some people really do affect us in ways, I don’t think they would be able to comprehend, I remember when she told me to always write and sent in something I wrote to a magazine and when it was published, I felt great… I think she was the only person that believed in me then, and in her eyes I felt special, and when I’m feeling down I think of her. You should call him, why not?

that’s fricken fantastic babe!

The Stallion | October 15th, 2006

Most if not all of us have that tendency to want to do something but end up not doing it so don’t feel bad and don’t say that you’re a terrible person! As for your teacher we need more people like him in schools so that our kids can have a better education!

Iz: Vincent! Yaaaa…tareeeeekh! I love that song! And you summed up how i feel…and yeah, I should! :)

Stallion: But i feel so bad that i never get around to sending him something as simple as an email :(
