I was very keen on the pink ones, but every time I went to buy it, it would be out of stock - very frustrating, believe me. So after months of waiting for Foot Locker to call me and tell me the sneakers were in stock, I lost all interest in buying the pink pair and decided to buy the black ones. Ooh, black, fun *rolls eyes* Yes, I know, nothing out of the ordinary, but now I know I won’t have to worry about them getting dirty - well they will, but they won’t look like they were dumped in a pool of mud.
Well, good news is, I bought my first pair of Converse sneakers today! Yay! They’re absolutely lovely, I’m thinking of getting pink and red laces - red to match my red jeans (but you probably guessed that already, right?)
My mother hates the fact that I got the sneakers, “Girls your age should wear heels, or at least a cute pair of flats since you’re anti-heels. Maybe a dress once in a while, a skirt too.” *sigh* You should’ve seen what she did when I bought my watch - (AL GHAWTH YA ELLAHI, AL GHAWTH!) “What’s that? A watch for your baby sister?” (Just an example of the remarks).
Ahhh, LOOK, I just found this watch while searching Amazon!! How fantastically adorable!!! Can one get away with wearing more than one watch? :D
Right, so I successfully drifted off the subject…my new sneakers! So yeah, Moey, who’s a Converse buff, tried to lure me into buying shoes with drawings of flies on them…erm, no thanks Moey, maybe next time? hehe…Too bad the selection in Kuwait is very limited, I found the loveliest Converse sneakers online! Then again, money doesn’t grow on trees - why not?! grrr.
I had a few issues lacing up and I had NO idea what the heck to do, but if it weren’t for Google, I probably would’ve been wallowing in self pity, staring at an unlaced pair of sneakers. So I laced them up (not very well though) and I took a little snap of them for you to see :)
Yes, the stripey pink - my pyjama bottoms. The sunglasses? Well say hello to my new pair!! (I can hear my Ray Ban Aviators wail in my bag). Sure they aren’t the real deal, but at the moment, I’d rather settle for Oasis Wayfarers, than no Wayfarers at all! Yes, I’m reliving the 80s for some reason…my whole wardrobe screams 80s… I’m a walking neon light! Okay, so I exaggerated there, I haven’t reached the “neon” stage - yet! Equipped with my sneakers and Blues Brothers sunglasses, I’m just too cool for school :p (Kick me, seriously. Just spare yourself the agony :p)
To save myself the embarrassment, and you the torture, I’m going to wrap up this post and leave you with a very appropriate song.

Lol had same looking Converse! You’re just coping me na ha ha! A friend of mine bought them for me in London but I only had them for two months-got all muddy and had to throw them away-Honey 80’s were acceptable in the 80’s lol!
