One Down..”Deux” Left! | June 2nd 2005

Sou thought out loud in Blog, Friends, Fun, Personal, Crazy, Music

I’m in so much pain it’s unbelievable! It all started yesterday evening when i was writing my History term paper, which took me more than 18 hours to finish!! 3 days of research 2 days of planning! I sat for so long on the damn wooden chair, my back hurt and my neck is killing me! And if i don’t get a decent grade on it, i don’t know what’s going to happen. Well maybe i do, i’ll probably have a nervous breakdown!!! *sigh* I’ve got a job interview at 10am! I hope i do well, i hate interviews, they freak me out; there’s just you and the person interviewing you. Asking you questions, LOTS OF THEM!! eek! Interview=sees inside? So the whole purpose of an interview is to “see inside”? But see inside what?! Ouff…i’m thinking a lot! (which could be dangerous sometimes! :p)

I have “deux” (two) exams left! And then i’m free for the summer!! Well, maybe not, if i get the job, i’ll be working 9hrs a day! So, no “free time” but you know what i mean, i’ll be free from school work! On the 5th i’ve got CSIS 100 (which is super easy) And NO it’s got nothing to do with crime scene investigations! lol, i won’t be taken to a crime scene, so don’t worry, it’s computer information system bla bla bla…you get the point. Then on the 7th I’ve got my BEAL (business ethics and law) 3 hours of writing–o the joy :s I can’t believe this semester has gone by so quick! All my friends are back from abroad, so hopefully i’m going to have a fun summer! M’s play is on Friday and i hope she doesn’t turn blonde on us :p LOL! Well if she does, rest assured it will be mentioned on the Chronicles of the Blonde and the Brunette!

Last, was it Saturday or Sunday? Hmmm, i don’t remember, but i think it was Sunday–yes! It was Sunday! F (the book man) had his public speaking presentation to give–i did not know it was going to be a big deal, i walked in expecting to find F and the rest of the public speaking class with their instructor with a couple of their friends to watch, what i didn’t expect were loads of people, the President of the university and Al Rai TV, eek! It was a big deal, and it totally freaked me out because i registered for Public Speaking in the Fall!!–anyhoos F told me that his presentation was the third one..

F was dressed in a dishdasha (trad. male Kuwaiti clothes for those of you who don’t know) and he looked gr8!! I didn’t recognize him when i saw him in the computer lab earlier that day! His presentation (along with another 3(?) guys was about Kuwait.) And F, i’m not just saying this coz i know you’re reading this entry, but your presentation was really cool!!! You’re a very articulate speaker and i kept on imagining myself in your place, i’m not sure why it ended with me running for my life!! *thinks* hehehe…I even took a picture of F, you won’t really see him well since i took the picture with my 6600 :p

F talking about how super Kuwait was in the 1970s!

If you can’t make out what’s written in the projection behind F, it says: ‘1970:The Golden Era’. I’ll tell you this, i didn’t know women walked around Kuwait in mini-skirts, and it was ALRIGHT TO DO SO!!! And i didn’t know that “once upon a time” in a Kuwaiti newspaper there was this picture of Tom Jones and a fan erm “kissing”…BUT…the cutest part of the presentation was when they played a scene from ‘Bye, Bye London’ “Me, Petrol” LOL!! That was hillarious!!”Donkey, monkey…he-him, she-shim!!!”

I’ll never, ever forget that!! it was great, and you should all envy me for being there while you weren’t! Muhahahahaha! yes, i’m evil, watcha gna do? (i said that with attitude! :p)

Before i forget!!! L, my lebanese friend (she told me to write that) has requested these two songs. So L, these are for you babe and a enjoy the “dodgy” Haifa Wahby song!! LOL!

Lawn 3eyounak (the colour of your eyes) by Nancy Agram and Ragab (Ragab is a name/male/ and a month in the Islamic calendar but i don’t know the meaning) by Haifa Wahby

Well dahlings i’m afraid it’s time for me to sign off!! Ta ta for now :*

Your exams will be over in the wink of an eye, trust me - and you will do very well and all that sitting down, backache and all is really nothing. You are like my daughter - when she decided to work hard to get the grades for the Japan trip, she really succeeded. I have total faith in you. Cheers!
