My Infatuation: Day 5, 6, 7, 8 | August 16th 2006
I’m back! Did you miss me?! I’m four days behind in chronicling my Travel Log. I didn’t have my laptop with me when I went to the Mirage, that’s why I couldn’t write anything :( I wrote ‘Day 7′ yesterday night, but I’m posting this up this morning, so any timing mistakes, just ignore :p lol…
Day 5:
R’s wedding day. I woke up min popoh el negma (super duper early) and I had to make sure my dress was packed, shoes, makeup, accessories and everything that I was taking to Mirage was ready. I was ready to rock and roll! I had an appointment at around 2pm to get my hair done…only problem was that I never really made it…Mom had to run a few errands before we went to Mirage and she came back late, so the hairdresser came to us! Ahhh, to be pampered is oh-so-fab! :D hehehe…
The wedding was amazing, a little on the slow side, but still amazing! AND…there was the cutest guy ever there, he looks like the heartbreaking type [Mr. Heartbreaker only seems like the perfect name for him :p hehe..] The rest of the guys at the wedding were *shudders* [I’m sure you get the drift :p]
My cousin R looked beautiful on her wedding day! I loved her dress and makeup, everything about her was perfect masha2lla! Inshallah, her and A are going to have a beautiful life together! 3o2balko yalli bete2ro :p By the time the wedding was over, I was limping like i lost a limb or something; my feet were SO sore because of the bloody 10cm heels I was wearing!!! I was walking out of the ballroom, that the wedding was held in,and my mom said, “Sou, take off your sandles honey, you’re obviously in pain, you won’t be able to walk all the way to our room!” (Mr. Heartbreaker was standing by us and could obviously hear our conversation) “But mom, I can’t…I mean, what will everyone say?! Look at the idiot walking around bare foot?!“…”Who’s everyone? They’re all family! *looks at Mr. Heartbreaker* Am I right or am I right?!” “Of course you’re right, *looks my direction* you’re around family”…Why did mom have to bring Mr. Heartbreaker into this conversation?! Why did he have to witness limping Sou?! WHY GOD, WHY?! *cries*
Day 6:
First day at the Mirage! I woke up at 1pm and boy was I tired! The room I was staying in was a complete and utter mess! My clothes and the dress I wore to the wedding were all over the room. I tidied up then my mom and I went to the pool to meet up with the rest of our relatives who stayed the night. And guess who happened to be there too? Yes, Mr. Heartbreaker. I just melted. I mean, the man in gorgeous! Thing is, it’s the gorgeous ones I should stay away from. Why? Well because…I’m not sure I can really put the reason “why” in words…I mean, it’s like. Good looking guys…wait, this guy wasn’t good looking, he was GORGEOUS..so yeah, gorgeous guys kinda know they’re gorgeous because girls are throwing themselves at their feet all the time…*sigh* Plus, apparantly Mr. Heartbreaker happens to know he’s super gorgeous…
So, he’s hanging by the pool in his swimming trunks, playing chess with the father of the bride…too much detail? Who cares, he’s gorgeous. We say our hellos and he asked if my feet still hurt…I wanted to melt into the tiles, I mean, OMG…he actually remembered the sandle scenario *bangs head on the wall*….I laughed the whole thing off and sat as far away as possible from him, I didn’t want to bring up the whole sandle thing again :p
H and O joined us later on and we swam for a few hours, and yes, I actually SWAM! Woohoo! I couldn’t believe it myself! I mean, I never get into pools because I’m super self concious…and wham bam, I’m in the pool swimming around with my relatives! When we got out the pool, I couldn’t resist walking over to where Mr. Heartbreaker was playing chess (this time with my cousin’s brother in Law, T) The closer I got to them, the more courage I had. By the time I reached them, I sat next to Mr. Heartbreaker…Yes, for I, Sou, sat next to Mr. Heartbreaker will all his drop dead gorgeousness! Lost for words? You bet your bums I was! So all I did was remain silent and “observed” them playing chess when all I was thinking was, “omg..omg..omg..omg..omg…don’t forget to breathe…omg..omg..omg..don’t forget to breathe.”
T’s phone rang, Mr. Heartbreaker was free to talk to! But what the hell was I going to say?! So I figured it out…I’ll ask who was winning…and that’s what i did! And yay Sou…coz it was one hell of an ice breaker..no more sandal talk! :D We started talking about the game and before I knew it we were both playing against T! He even gave our team a name, “The Pioneers”…and later on in the game he said, “I really enjoy being on your team”…Here’s what I said? “Yes, of course I’ll marry you!” Wait, no, no…that’s not how it really went…but that’s what I kinda wanted to say :p I just said, “You’re the one doing all the work, it’s a pleasure being on your team” :) Anything else that happened was kind of a blur…Omg, I’m infatuated…not good, not good! :|
By night time we both went our seperate ways…at around 11pm we met up in my aunt’s room, [all of us] and we stayed up till 3 am playing charades…I’m totally loving Egypt! :D
Mr. Heartbreaker: We’re all leaving tomorrow afternoon, so we’ve got to make the most of the morning! What time are you waking up?
Me: Hmm…well I was thinking around the lines of 10.
Mr H: Yeah, that’s great, alright, I’ll call everyone at around 10 and wake them up. What’s your room number?
What would anyone in my shoes do? Other than probably faint?! *sigh*
Day 7:
Woke up at 9:30…waited for the call, but i got one from T instead at 10 sharp! Gah, where the hell was Mr. Heartbreaker?!! Apparently he overslept till 10:30, blah :p…I was ready by 11, but the freaking breakfast came to our room 45mins late; Mom wouldn’t let me leave the room till I had something to eat :| By 12pm everyone was by the pool (including Little Miss Competition, my relative H) :angry:
My brother and I walked by the pool to where everyone was supposed to be, but there wasn’t anyone in sight! Where the hell was everyone?! “Sou, look, there they are! By the Wave Pool” (pool that generates waves and gives the whole “beach” effect - duh!) And there he was looking as super fantastic as ever, glistening under the sun, playing cards with the rest of our relatives, H included, grr…
Fast forward….It’s 1:30, I nearly got blinded by accidentally looking directly into the sun for like a nano second..Yes, I caused a scene. No, I wasn’t exaggerating. Fast forward…It’s 3pm, my relatives and I are playing cards, Mr. Heartbreaker is no where in sight because he’s saying goodbye to our aunts etc because he’s traveling back to Alexandria *sigh* He passes by us at around 3:30, says his goodbyes to us then says, “I’ll be in Cairo tomorrow…we’ve all got to meet up. *looks at T* So I’ll give you a call and we can all do something.” He left, but all i could think of was, “Why the heck is he heading back to Alex if he’s going to be in Cairo tomorrow?!!”
You know…the more I think about what happened over the last 2 days, I can’t help but thinking what a complete moron I am…I mean, come on…Mr. Heartbreaker is drop dead gorgeous, I mean it…I’ve never seen a guy as handsome as him..And I mean, he lives in Egypt, I don’t; I’m only visiting…Plus the fact that I’m not really drop dead gorgeous really plays a vital role *sigh* :upset: Oh well…c’est la vie…
Woke up at 11 because I wanted to spend sometime with dad before he traveled back to Kuwait. By 6pm I was on my way to get my hair cut, FINALLY! Ra2fat, the coolest hairdresser on Earth, cut the remaining hair I had left on my head :p Okay, so it isn’t that short, but it’s definitely shorter than what it used to be!!! And just my luck, it’s kind of humid in Cairo today, so my hair got kinda ruined :(
I’m sunburnt btw…my shoulders hurt like hell and everyone’s calling me Rudolph because of my “red nose”…ha ha, not funny. I’m so sunburnt that when my t-shirt rubs against my shoulders I feel like crying, yes, it hurts that much :(
At 8.30 on the dot I was at City Stars with my brother, T and H…Mr. Heartbreaker was nowhere to be seen, and when I asked T where he was, he said that he just left Alexandria and wouldn’t be here before 11.30pm. Damn :(
I finally took a round in City Stars, it’s HUGE! I could get lost there any given day! I went to Virgin Megastores and I loved it; I found a cover that I’d like to get for my iPod; I’ll probably get that before I travel or the next time i go to City Stars :) We booked tickets to ‘Wa7ed Min El-Nas’ and it was an awesome movie! I loved it! I cried a little, but I mean, it was hard not to :( During the interval Mr. Heartbreaker called my cousin H and told him he arrived in City Stars and that he’d wait for us till the movie was over…I wanted to get up and dance like a loon when H told me! Can someone plz tell me why I’m feeling this way? I should know better! *sulks*
We all had dinner and chit chatted away for an hour then we headed back home…I had a super time! I wonder what tomorrow will bring :grin:
