Sou thought out loud in Personal, Books, Shopping

Yesterday night i went to sleep at 9.45pm (i was really tired!) Even tho i slept early, i’m not really sure why i woke up at 3am–yes, 3am!! When i couldn’t go back to sleep i decided to read ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’ an hour later i finished it and it was superb, i loved the book! and now all i want to do is wear pearl earrings!!! only, i erm, i don’t have any :p But still, u get the point!! and, Shurouq, the book is gr8, i’m sure there are more details in it than in the film but i’ll have to watch the film and get back to you on this one ;) But still, it’s a must read!!!

When i was in Jareer bookstore last, i checked out ‘Purple Hibiscus’, and now i want this book, no no, i need this book!! Only, i can’t really afford it at the moment–(if you’ve noticed, on the left sidebar, i’ve got a countdown! *hint, hint*)– and plus, i’ve got 6 other books to read :s It would’ve actually been 7, but luckily(?) for me i started Shopaholic and Sister right after i was done with Girl with a Pearl Earring and i finished it 4hrs later..woosh! I’ve got the power!! hehehe…

In ‘Unfaithful’, the French guy’s flat was full of books! If you’ve seen the movie you’ll understand what i’m talking about–so anyways, his flat was FULL of books upon books, upon books!! I wish my house was like that *sigh* Well at the rate i’m going, it’s not going to be long before that happens :p hehehe (can somebody tell me how Richard Gere killed Oliver Martinez in Unfaithful? because i just don’t get it, so he hit him on the head with a little globe thingie—how the hell could that’ve killed him?!!) If you haven’t seen this film, then i apologise profusely for ruining it for you, but i just had to know how he killed him!!

Alrighty, it’s decision time, which book should i read next?

  1. Last Chance Saloon - Marian Keyes
  2. The Murder at the Vicarage - Agatha Christie
  3. Holy Blood, Holy Grail - Micheal Baugent, Richard Leigh, Henry Lincoln
  4. Young Wives - Olivia Goldsmith
  5. Mirror Maze - William Bayer
  6. The Fist of God - Frederick Forsyth

I’m getting sleepy and it’s only noon!! I have a Business Ethics class this in 5 hrs, o yay, i’m just jumping with joy, woopti doo :s grrr…I’m not a huge fan of that class, and plus, somebody once told me, “There are not ‘ethics’ in business, so why bother?!” lol, if only life was that easy! hehehe…

O ya, recommeded blog of the days is, From The Sand Of A Thousand Footprints

It’s time to sign off, Ta ta for now dah-lings :*

dude, i really love you! it’s the same exact way i’m thinking, i just have one cabinet full of books, and i want my whole room to be full of them… and all the books sound really really good, so i can’t choose, but if i really had to, i’d choose “Holy Blood, Holy Grail”, because after reading the Da Vinci Code, you’ll get really interested in knowing more about the whole thing with the holy grail :D

(special note: I’m Jesus’s Daughter!)

hope i could help out, and keep on reading!

Yeah ! Books forever!

I thinks it’s easy to get into a book much once you read it and like the story. If you’re the kind of person who thinks that you have to finish something you have started, it will be hard to hold the temptation of reading the story till the end. ^__^ For me, I always find it hard to put my book down once I read it and find out that it’s got a good story. I’m lost! Hehehehe…..

Eyes o.a. Tradgedy: Fist of God, hmm, i’ll think bout it, but i dunno…

I only get to read before i sleep. The only reading i get to do before that are the readings set for my classes :S The HORROR, the PAIN!! :p

SwAiR: HEY!! Love you too! hehehe! Well, maybe we should start the “S&S Book Collection Fund” watcha think? hehehe! I started reading Holy Blood, Holy Grail a while baq and stopped midway, it’s superb tho! I haven’t read the Da Vinci Code recently, so i’ll read it again to have it fresh in my mind, then i’ll read Holy Blood, Holdy grail! :D Erm, you’re Jesus’s Daughter? of course you are! ;p

Rin:That’s what i did with ‘Shopaholic & Sister’ i sat in bed for 4 hrs straight and i finished the book! hehehe..I LOVE READING!! :D

The “Purple Hibiscus” is not to be missed as well. A heartbreaking but ultimately lovely book that works on so many levels.
