Sou thought out loud in Personal, Awareness

It’s the first day of October! Do you know what that means?! It means that it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month!!

It’s finally here!!! It’s not like i was waiting for October to support breast cancer awareness; i mean, i’ve already had a pink breast cancer awareness wristband for months (and i wear it everyday!). I think it’s much handy than the ribbons, since the ribbons tend to frill up and everything :s

Breast Cancer doesn’t just affect women, it affects men as well—let’s say a man is not diagnosed with Breast Cancer (yes, even men are diagnosed!) but a female member of his family is and dies, he’ll suffer the loss along with the whole family–so it’s emotional as well as physical. So go out do something, show your support, wear a pink ribbon!

30% of Kuwaiti females that are diagnosed with cancer are diagnosed with breast cancer! It’s a serious issue and i don’t understand why it’s “hush, hush” here in Kuwait!! I mean, why hasn’t the country turned pink?! The lack of awareness is unbelievable!

Click here to help fun mammograms! (Thank you Sarah!)

Now why don’t they have anything like this in Kuwait?

Just keep this in mind, YOU can make a difference, it all starts with you (yes; you!) Wear the ribbon. Help find a cure.Time to sign off. Till next time World! Ta ta for now :*

Thank you for the reminder. I received a notification to have a mammograph done at a gov clinic and that letter has been in my drawer for weeks. I have the intention to go, it’s only time as always but your efforts to promote awareness has touched me and I will go soon. Glad you are on the way to your cheerful self. Cheers!
