Happy ‘يا Øسرتي’ Day
February 14th 2007 by Sou in Fun, Personal, Crazy, Music, YouTube, University, Photography, MikaI officially declare February 14th as ‘Ya Hasreti Day’. To those of you who don’t know what it means, it’s something along the lines of ’sorrow’. Why sorrow? hahaha, like you don’t know :p
I read what I wrote a year ago today and wow, it was a fun post! Nothing has changed, AT ALL, I feel the same way about Valentine’s this year as I did last year.
Has anything changed in 365 days? Nope, I still think Valentine’s Day is yucky…why? Well let me “think out loud� and tell you that I feel totally bitter since I’ve never spent Valentine’s Day with a “loved� one. As far as I’m concerned, Valentine’s Day can go and rot somewhere (I told you I was feeling bitter!)
I’ll repeat it again, “has anything changed in 365 days? Nope.” Why, oh why? Seriously, why? I mean, I’ve come to the point in which I’m starting to give up on the men of the world - yeah, yeah, I’m generalising, bitter single woman here, remember?

Oh! Oh! Oh! I totally need to mention this! The students at university were on strike this morning!! How crazy was that?! Well, actually, it isn’t crazy, thanks to them we get another add/drop phase next week! I couldn’t get any pictures, well I got one, doesn’t show anything, but hey, better than nothing! The students stood, arms locked, at every gate and refused to let any students in. They handed out this flyer to my brother which explained why, how, and what they were doing. Needless to say, my brother couldn’t go to class, poor kid. Thank goodness chaos hadn’t reached my campus, I can’t afford to miss classes, I’m on a mission this semester, hear me roar! :) Speaking of which, I registered for two classes today, so in total I’m taking 7 classes and I’m on campus from 8-6. Wow, talk about staying occupied!
The pictures aren’t so great, took them with my mobile because my camera isn’t working *sigh*
Sure I hate Valentine’s Day, but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t at least show a molecule of love and affection, right? I was planning on putting ‘Love Today’ by Mika, but I didn’t want anyone to get bored of me talking about him all the time, so instead, here’s Sarah McLachlan singing Possession; this is the live, I repeat, LIVE version of the song, its simply amazing! Happy ya hasreti day indeeeed, it’s just anotherrr dayyyy and am counting the hours till it ends…offff every year i keep sayin by next valentine ill b celebrating hehe this valentine never comes:D
Why do the ladies take this day way too seriously? It’s just another day. I like labour day better. At least I get to take the day off. And what’s with everyone wearing red? I walk in wearing navy blue and everyone is giving me the wierd party-pooper look… when was that rule written?

I don’t know if this last V-Day was a happy one. I was single. Nothing had changed from last year. But there’s someone I had liked for a little while and he sent me a lovely card.
But I was still lonely at the end of the day eating popcorn in front of the TV :(
