Down Her Face They Pour | March 7th 2007
I know I haven’t been doing anything but whine about university, but today…today was the last straw. Thirty minutes ago I fell flat on my face. It’s not like that doesn’t happen often (which it does) but my favourite jeans tore at the knee and I’m bleeding. Pain doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel right now…oww it burns! Embarrassed that I fell? Akeed la2, like I mentioned, ana batdele2 keteer, bas MY FAVOURITE JEANS got murdered. They don’t look “bad” actually, but I mean, do I really want to re-live the whole grunge fashion thingie all over again? Didn’t that die with Cobain?
I’m too scared to look at my knee, I can feel the warmth of my blood, and it hurts like a #$%^& when I walk. Khad el shar w ra7..isn’t that what’s said?
Maybe this is Karma paying me a visit? But what did I do to deserve a bleeding knee and murdered jeans? I’ve been doing nothing but focus on academics! Wait…wait…there was yesterday. I went out with the girls for lunch…*thinks* no, didn’t do anything crazy. Karma, leave me alone.
I’m struggling with my Statistics assignments. 3baid spent 4 hours last night trying to help me solve one questions, ONE QUESTION. Poor guy was probably pulling out the hair on his head.
Oww, my throbbing knee.
On a lighter note USWS just called, my book arrived! I’m part of a bookclub at uni, and next month we’ll be reading ‘The Red Tent’ by Anita Diamant. Finally, something good happened today.
I got my baby sister the current issue of Bazaar Magazine the other day; the cover is amaaaazing. The second her eyes fell upon the cover they widened and she said, “FOR ME? THAAAANK YOU!” You’re wondering why I got my sister - who can’t read yet - a magazine, right? She likes to “pretend” that she’s reading them. I love my baby sister, intellectual little thing, isn’t she? :) Check out the website of the artist whose work is on the cover here. His art is very…how do I put this? It’s vibrant, different and disturbing yet highly amusing. Great thing is, if you live in Kuwait, you can check out his work starting March 10th at ‘Al Doust Gallery in Al-Fanar. See you there!
