COUGH, COUGH! | June 21st 2005
Ehem, sorry, i’m coughing like mad. My throat hurts, my eyes burn, my back feels like it’s broken, my head, OH MY HEAD! It feels as if somebody threw a basketball at my head (M, rings any bells with you? :p) but seriously, i’m in pain…and i’m going to quote that ever-so-famous line from ‘Scooby Doo’ on this: “If it weren’t for those pesky kids”
Yes, if it weren’t for those little monkeys (whom i still love) i wouldn’t be sick. Half of them were sick, sneezing and coughing everywhere! My anti-bacterial gel didn’t work, grr….i was talking to M the other day and i told her that i wanted to wear one of those suits like in the film ‘Outbreak’ (the one with the monkey and Dustin Hoffman) –lol, i loved how i just did that, i found that extremley funny!! “The one with the monkey and Dustin Hoffman” LOOL!!! (hmm, the medication might be doing this to me as well!)
So apart from being sick, work is great!! When i went back to work, i was complimented on how much weight i had lost since last year!! A parent of a student i taught had said i looked “prettier” than last year (i found that quite insulting actually—was she implying that i was ugly or something?) *sigh* maybe i’m just looking into this too much (as usual) hehe
I won’t be posting up the pictures i promised i would in my previous post because i’m lazy–and because i have dial-up which means it’s going to take me 1.3 million years to upload those pictures grr…My parents are looking into the DSL and laptop issue (they’re fully convinced now!) woohoo!
I’m reading Lance Armstrong’s Autobiography ‘Every Second Counts’ and so far it’s amazing! I love it and i don’t want it to end, it’s the first autobiography i’ve ever read, and it’s fab!! I want to get ‘It’s Not About the Bike’ by him as well, i want it, scratch that, i need it! hehehe…The greatest thing about Lance’s writing it feels like he’s sitting there in front of me talking, it’s a great book and i could keep going on about it forever!
Well, i have to skidaddle dahlings, i’m so tired and i’ll probably collapse on this keyboard if i don’t go nap soon.
