Sou thought out loud in Friends, Fun, Personal, Crazy, Television

” She’s got her head in the clouds. He’s got his feet on the ground. Together, they’re a match made in heaven. “

‘Dharma & Greg’ Now who’s watched this absolutley amazing sitcom? Hang on, let me rephrase that, who hasn’t watched this absolutley amazing sitcom?! It’s about how two people from different backgrounds and lifestyles meet and get married, after their first date!! I’m sure you’re all familiar with the show.
Anyways, for some reason, i was just sitting there rummaging thru some of my belongings when all of a sudden i thought to myself, “now i wonder what Dharma would’ve done in a situation like this…” I guess it’s because a couple of years ago, mushi said that when she watches Dharma and Greg, Dharma’s character reminds her of me…
How that is possible i’m not sure, since i wasn’t raised by hippies, i’m not a yoga instructor and i’m not married to a Harvard Graduate (i’m not even married!!) Come to think of it, i think i know why Dharma reminds mushi of me…i guess it’s coz we’re both looney, very direct and we’ve both got a very “i’ll do and say what i want because I believe in it” attitude, i guess it’s also because i’ve got this tendency to look on the bright side 98% of the time! Which i think is the reason people call me “weird”…people are just afraid of what’s different, am i right, or am i right?!

I instantly clicked with Dharma when i heard her say this sentence in an episode:
“Welcome to the Pompous Room. May I check Madame’s pole, or will she be keeping it up her butt? “
Long Live Dharma!!!

Ok, now about Greg, so he’s a Harvard graduate Lawyer…eek, the word Harvard scares me!! He’s very conservative–a complete 180 when it comes to Dharma…Dharma and Greg’s relationship is what initally grabs your attention when you watch the show, i mean, you’ve got these two completley different personalities living under one roof, yet, they’re happily married and committed to each other.

Where’s a ‘Greg’ when you need one?! They’re probably hiding from all the Dharmas! hehe…well, i hope all of you enjoy watching the show as much as i do!! Time to sign off, ta ta for now :*

Well, I don’t watch much tv and I avoid sitcoms like the plague, but I have to say:

1. Greg is cute
2. I have trouble believing any boys are Greg (sigh)
3. Dharma rocks
4. You rock

Sou | December 29th, 2004

Al: Ya, it’s just a sitcom, not real life, *sigh* real life sucks :P

Camel: He’s gorgeous!!! hehehe…ya, Dharma rocks, big time! i mean, if anyone could get away with saying “Welcome to the Pompous Room. May I check Madame’s pole, or will she be keeping it up her butt? ” then they definatley rock–and thanx a billion for sayin i rock, truth is, you rock ;)
Thanx again Camel :)

I used to enjoy watching ‘Dharma & Greg’ until the accident.. then it was down the drain from there after.. I don’t know why.. :(

And when you compare sitcoms with reality, the closest I can think of that might be as real as possible is “Mad about you they show you in that show how much you have to work on the relationship to make it work.. other sitcoms it always gives you the best times.. the happy days.. but “mad about you used to show you the simplest details of how annoying sipping soup is and how they get over that simple problem.. the day to day life.. of course in a very funny flavor.. it’s a sitcom after all.. ta ta for now :P

Don: I see you’re enjoying the “ta ta for now” bit ;) And about the sitcoms, you’re right, they “tend” to show us the “happy, perfect” world..and i guess that puts us off from reality, coz we want what we see on t.v. DAMN THE MEDIA SUCKS :S ok…i’m gettin a lil carried away *sigh*
