Blunt’s Lost Soul | September 15th 2007

I just listened to James Blunt’s new album ‘All the Lost Souls’; yuck, yuck, yuck. His debut album ‘Back to Bedlam’ was heaps better! Honestly, it’s very, what’s the word I’m looking for….? Crap. No it’s worse than that actually, it’s crap to infinity and beyond.
“One day they’ll tell you that you’ve changed/ Though they’re the ones who seem to stop and stare.â€? Quoted from ‘One of the Brightest Stars’, oh boo-hoo; that’s Blunt complaining that nobody loves him anymore. Another really annoying track is ‘I Really Want You’, “I really want you to really want me/ But I really don’t know if you can do that.” Seriously, what kind of songwriting is that?!! I won’t even start on ‘Give Me Some Love’, that song’s a disaster, a disaster I tell you; “Why don’t you give me some love/ I’ve taken shipload of drugs/ I’m so tired of never fixing the pain.” I don’t know why he even bothered releasing the album.
This album has me really frustrated, honestly.
The only “good” bad (yes that was an oxymoron) song on the album is ‘1973′…
At this point, I’d rather listen to Lily Allen.
Till next time world.
Ta ta for now.
